Qatar Labour Ministry appoints Director of Work Permits and Assistant Director of HR

Ahmed Mohammed Al Hatmi has been appointed as the Director of the Work Permits Department and Salman Ahmed Al Mannai as the Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department.

The Ministry of Labour Qatar has announced two senior administrative appointments as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional performance and modernise the labour system in Qatar.


The ministry appointed Ahmed Mohammed Al Hatmi as Director of the Work Permits Department and Salman Ahmed Al Mannai as Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department. 


According to the ministry, the appointment of Al Mannai is aimed at strengthening human resources policies and improving workforce capability across the organisation, helping create a modern work environment aligned with best administrative practices. 



Meanwhile, Al Hatmi’s appointment is expected to support the continued development of work permit services and improve efficiency in labour market processes, in line with the country’s economic development goals.



The ministry stated that these leadership appointments form part of a wider institutional development strategy focused on improving service delivery, advancing digital transformation and strengthening organisational performance in line with Qatar National Vision.


The appointments are part of broader efforts to improve operational efficiency, enhance public services and support the development of the labour market.


The Ministry of Labour added that it will continue to modernise the labour system by attracting and developing national talent and placing them in leadership roles, supporting long-term sustainability and competitiveness in Qatar’s labour market.
