Remat Al-Riyadh Development Co. appoints Eng. Asim Al-Suhaibani as CEO

Al-Suhaibani brings more than 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, with expertise spanning executive management and strategic development.

Riyadh Municipality’s development subsidiary - Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company has announced the appointment of Eng. Asim bin Mohammed Al-Suhaibani as Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 April 2026.


Al-Suhaibani succeeds Abdullah bin Sulaiman Abdullah Abdudawood, who has served as CEO since the company’s establishment in 2021. The Board of Directors has also approved the appointment of Mr. Abdullah bin Sulaiman Abudawood as a Member of the Board, effective the same date, in recognition of his contributions and continued commitment to strengthening the company’s institutional vision and expertise.


Commenting on the appointment, the Board of Directors said, “Eng. Asim Al-Suhaibani brings deep leadership experience and a proven track record in managing large-scale development initiatives. His appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in his ability to advance Remat’s strategic objectives and support Riyadh’s urban and economic transformation.”


Al-Suhaibani brings more than 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors, with expertise spanning executive management and strategic development. He joins Remat from Riyadh Holding Company, where he has served as CEO since 2022 and played a pivotal role in advancing several major development projects across the city of Riyadh. His career also includes senior leadership roles at the Public Investment Fund, MASIC Logistics, and Schlumberger.


Taking on the new role, Al-Suhaibani said, "I am honoured to take on the role of CEO at Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company. I look forward to building on the strong foundations established over the past years and working closely with our partners to enhance municipal services, unlock sustainable investment opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to the quality of life in Riyadh.”


Reflecting on his tenure, Abudawood said, “It has been a privilege to lead Remat since its inception. I am confident that under Eng. Asim’s leadership, the company will continue to grow in impact and effectiveness, and I look forward to supporting its journey in my new role as a Board member.”


Under its new leadership, the company will continue to deliver on its strategic mandate to improve the quality of life for residents and visitors to the capital through the development of municipal services, improved project execution efficiency, and the activation of municipal assets into sustainable investment opportunities that support Riyadh’s cultural and economic vitality.
