Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi names Saloni Mehta Director of People & Culture

Mehta brings extensive experience across the luxury hospitality sector, having previously held senior leadership roles with Marriott Hotel Al Forsan, Wasl and The Ritz-Carlton - Bangalore, India.
The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal has announced the appointment of Saloni Mehta as its new Director of People & Culture, reinforcing the luxury property’s focus on people-led growth and service excellence.
Mehta is widely recognised for her contributions to human capital development and organisational leadership, and brings a strategic and development-driven approach to the role. Her leadership philosophy centres on clear planning, accountability, and ensuring that every team member has a meaningful personal development plan that supports long-term growth and performance.
Mehta recently served Marriott Hotel Al Forsan as Director of Human Resources for over five years. She brings extensive experience across the luxury hospitality sector, having previously held senior leadership roles with Wasl and The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, the brand’s first property in India.
With deep expertise across talent acquisition and talent development, Mehta’s background in hotel operations has shaped a commercially astute and well-rounded leadership style.
This operational grounding enables her to translate business priorities into effective people strategies, ensuring strong alignment between organisational objectives, performance outcomes, and workplace culture.
In her new role, Mehta will lead all People & Culture functions at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal, overseeing talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, and organisational strategy. Her focus will be on building capability, strengthening leadership pipelines, and fostering a culture where empowered and engaged teams continue to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
