A seasoned aviation executive with more than three decades of experience, Kumar brings expertise across financial leadership, corporate services, operational excellence, and enterprise transformation.

Kumar has been associated with RoyalJet for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services. In that role, he managed a portfolio generating approximately AED 1 billion in annual revenue and led a team of more than 400 employees. His responsibilities included overseeing financial management, cost optimisation, and enterprise-wide risk strategy.

Before joining RoyalJet, Kumar served as Financial Business Support Manager at Gulf Air. He also spent nine years as Management Accountant at Presidential Flight, the UAE’s government aviation directorate established under Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, where he gained experience in high-security and mission-critical financial operations.

Kumar began his career with Ernst & Young, developing expertise in accounting, risk management, and financial controls.

Commenting on his appointment, Kumar said: “I am honoured to take on this expanded mandate at RoyalJet, an organisation I have had the privilege of serving for nearly two decades. As we enter this next chapter, my focus will be on digital transformation and fleet replacement, two strategic priorities that will position RoyalJet for sustainable growth.”

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst, Kumar has built a distinguished career across some of the Middle East’s leading aviation organisations.

His appointment comes as RoyalJet continues to strengthen its operational capabilities and advance strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, modernising its fleet, and supporting future expansion.
