SADAFCO appoints Ahmed Alwasiah as Director of Transformation and HRBP

Alwasiah will support SADAFCO’s transformation journey by strengthening HR practices, enhancing alignment between people strategy and business priorities, and driving greater organisational effectiveness.
Saudi Dairy & Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) has appointed Ahmed Alwasiah as Director of Transformation and HR Business Partner, effective immediately, as the company strengthens its HR capabilities to support ongoing organisational transformation.
Announcing the appointment, the company said it was pleased to welcome Alwasiah to the organisation, highlighting his extensive experience in human resources, particularly in HR transformation, business partnering, and organisational development across leading companies.
In his new role, Alwasiah will support SADAFCO’s transformation journey by strengthening HR practices, enhancing alignment between people strategy and business priorities, and driving greater organisational effectiveness.
Commenting on his new role, Alwasiah said he is pleased to join SADAFCO and will focus on leading the company’s HR transformation agenda. He added that his priorities include driving the adoption of best-in-class HR practices and technologies while partnering closely with leadership to align human capital strategy with broader business objectives.
He also thanked Walaa Bayoumi for her support during the recruitment process and acknowledged the onboarding support from Nahla Abualula and her team.
Alwasiah said he looks forward to contributing to SADAFCO’s continued growth and creating meaningful organisational impact.
Alwasiah brings more than 15 years of HR leadership experience. Most recently, he served at BRF, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading food and beverage companies, where he was Head of HR – Commercial. In that role, he acted as a strategic HR partner to commercial leadership in the Kingdom, focusing on workforce planning and organisational design.
He also led Saudization initiatives through targeted hiring strategies, optimised onboarding and retention programmes, oversaw the full recruitment cycle for commercial functions, and introduced employee engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening team morale and reinforcing BRF’s organisational culture.
Earlier in his career, Alwasiah worked with Unilever as Talent Acquisition Partner and Employer Branding Lead for the GCC and Saudi Arabia. He has also held roles at The National Commercial Bank – Alahli and SABB.
On the academic front, Alwasiah holds an MBA from the University of Jeddah, a bachelor’s degree in finance from King AbdulAziz University, and has completed an Executive Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
