The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced a key leadership appointment within its human capital and social development ecosystem.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has appointed Badr bin Ibrahim Al-Suwailim as Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Social Development, at the excellent rank.

"We congratulate His Excellency Mr. Badr bin Ibrahim Al-Suwailem on the issuance of the Royal Order appointing him as Deputy Minister for the Social Development Sector," the Ministry said welcoming Al-Suwailem to the leadership role.

The Royal Order reflects the leadership’s continued focus on strengthening the Kingdom’s social development agenda and advancing institutional capability in line with national transformation priorities.

Following the announcement, Al-Suwailim extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the royal trust placed in him.

He described the appointment as an honour and a responsibility, expressing pride in the confidence bestowed upon him by the Kingdom’s leadership.

Al-Suwailim prayed for success in meeting leadership expectations and affirmed his commitment to carrying out his duties with sincerity and dedication. He emphasised his determination to continue serving the nation and to contribute meaningfully to advancing the Kingdom’s social development agenda.

His appointment comes as Saudi Arabia accelerates efforts under Saudi Vision 2030, with social development, quality of life, and human capital empowerment remaining central pillars of the national strategy.

The move is expected to further strengthen institutional momentum within MHRSD as the Kingdom continues to build a more inclusive and sustainable social development framework.
