Savola Group’s Panda Retail appoints Ayman AlGhamdi as Chief Human Capital Officer

AlGhamdi holds over two decades of experience across public, private, and government-owned entities, including executive leadership roles within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving sectors.

Savola Group’s Panda Retail Company has announced the appointment of Ayman AlGhamdi as its new Chief Human Capital Officer, effective immediately. 

AlGhamdi confirmed the appointment in a LinkedIn post, expressing his excitement about taking on the new leadership role at one of the Kingdom’s largest retail organisations. 

A seasoned HR and shared services leader with more than two decades of experience, AlGhamdi has worked across public, private, and government-owned entities, including executive leadership roles within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving sectors. 

Most recently, he served as Chief Human Capital Officer at Cruise Saudi, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) entity, where he led strategic workforce transformation initiatives aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions. 

Previously, he served Saudi Ground Services as CHRO and Shared Services Officer, Savola Group as HR Head, and Procter & Gamble as Country HR Head. Earlier in his career, he began his professional journey with SABIC as a Mechanical Engineer. 

Throughout his career, AlGhamdi has been recognised for driving organisational transformation, leadership development, workforce planning, culture building, total rewards strategies, governance, and digital HR innovation. He has also contributed to national talent development through his involvement in advisory and sectoral skills development councis. 

In addition, he has served on Nomination and Remuneration Committees across listed companies and government organisations spanning sectors such as healthcare, aviation, education, investment, technology, food production, and sports, supporting governance and aligning people strategies with business objectives. 

On the academic front, AlGhamdi holds an MBA and an Executive Diploma in Supply Chain Management from Open University Malaysia, an Executive Programme in Business and Strategic Leadership from INSEAD, an Executive Leadership Programme from ESADE Business School, an IMD Board Director Diploma, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University. 

He also holds several certifications, including CIPD Chartered Fellowship, and IMD certifications in Misk Leadership, Strategic Board Management, and Digital Transformation.
