Seddiqi Holding appoints Maarten Geeraerts as Group CEO

Dubai-based luxury business group Seddiqi Holding has appointed Maarten Geeraerts as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing its focus on strategic growth, operational excellence, and long-term leadership succession across its luxury portfolio.

In his new role, Geeraerts will oversee the group's vision and operations across all business units, working closely with the Seddiqi family leadership and reporting directly to the Board. The appointment comes as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the regional luxury market while accelerating transformation and expansion initiatives.

Announcing the appointment, Abdul Hamied Seddiqi, Chairman of Seddiqi Holding, said the company was looking to combine its heritage with a forward-looking growth strategy.

Osama Ibrahim Seddiqi, Vice Chairman of Seddiqi Holding, said Geeraerts’ experience in transforming family-owned enterprises and his expertise in governance and investment made him well suited to lead the group into its next chapter.

Geeraerts brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience across investment, legal, governance, and business transformation. Most recently, he served as Group CEO of Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Holdings, where he led the transformation of the long-established family business into a diversified, performance-driven organisation.

Commenting on his appointment, Geeraerts said he was committed to building on the legacy established by four generations of the Seddiqi family.
