Sibelco appoints Anjali Velayudhan Menon as VP HR for EMEA

Sibelco Group has appointed Anjali Velayudhan Menon as Vice President of Human Resources for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, effective immediately.

Sharing this update on LinkedIn, Menon said, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President HR - Europe, Middle East and Africa at Sibelco Group! After 16+ years in FMCG, stepping into the mining and minerals industry was a real challenge, and a leap of faith. 

Looking back, it has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my career. The learning curve was steep, but the opportunity to accelerate organisational, leadership, and culture transformation across the Asia Pacific Region has been truly enriching.”

She added, “Now, I am excited to embrace the next chapter: taking on the role of Vice President HR for EMEA, the largest region within Sibelco. This move represents not just a new professional challenge, but also a powerful learning opportunity, working with a wider regional footprint, a diverse set of teams, and an even broader business landscape.

Menon joined Sibelco in 2023 and most recently served as Director HR for APAC and Global HRBP. In her new role, she will focus on driving business performance, people development, and culture transformation across Sibelco’s EMEA operations.

Prior to joining Sibelco, Menon was Chief Human Resources Officer at Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad for nearly two years. She also spent over 15 years at Nestlé, holding key roles including Regional Head of Talent (APAC and Sub-Saharan Africa), Change, and Corporate People Development and Employee Communications Head (South Asia). She began her career at Infosys as Associate Manager–Compensation and Benefits (Global).

Academically, Menon holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from North Maharashtra University, a postgraduate diploma in HR development from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, and executive management credentials from London Business School. She has also completed multiple leadership and organisational management certifications from leading institutions.
