Sengupta brings more than three decades of strategic leadership experience across the global IT sector, spanning ANZ, Japan, ASEAN, China, India, the Middle East and other key markets.

TASC Group, a leading workforce, people advisory and AI solutions company in the MENA region, has announced the appointment of Jayajyoti Sengupta as Chief Executive Officer.

Founder and current CEO Mahesh Shahdadpuri will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s growth journey.

The appointment strengthens confidence among clients, partners and employees, while positioning the group for its next phase of scalable growth and operational excellence. As part of this strategy, the Group will expand its footprint as a Managed Services Provider (MSP) across both TASC and AIQU, responding to rising demand for flexible, AI-first managed services across the region and newer markets.

With extensive experience working alongside senior leadership teams across Europe, Asia and the Americas, Sengupta has played a key role in evolving managed services beyond traditional outsourcing towards value creation, business resilience and long-term strategic partnerships. His appointment supports the group's ambition to help enterprises accelerate AI adoption and modernise their operating and technology models.

Commenting on the appointment, Shahdadpuri said, “We are delighted to welcome Jayajyoti as CEO at a pivotal stage in TASC Group’s evolution. His deep expertise in AI-enabled, outcome-led partnerships strongly aligns with our vision to scale impact across our clients and businesses. As Executive Chairman, I look forward to supporting this next phase of growth as we continue accelerating AI adoption and delivering intelligent, scalable managed services.”

Sengupta added, “TASC Group has built a strong reputation across the region. As enterprises rethink their operating models, there is a clear opportunity to reimagine managed services through AI and automation. I look forward to working with the team to strengthen our capabilities, deepen client partnerships and support organisations as they navigate the next phase of AI-driven operational transformation.”

The leadership transition comes as AI rapidly reshapes the outsourcing and managed services landscape. Across the Middle East, organisations are moving away from traditional, cost-driven outsourcing models towards AI-enabled, outcome-based partnerships that deliver measurable impact, resilience and efficiency. This shift is being accelerated by national digital transformation agendas across sectors including government, BFSI, aviation, defence, manufacturing, healthcare, technology and large services enterprises.
