Ahmed has been serving as the Deputy CEO of Thiqah since 2019 and has led innovation and technology initiatives with a visionary approach to advancing digital ecosystems.

Thiqah, a leading IT company based in Riyadh, has announced the promotion of Ahmed Al-Alola to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

The company stated, “The Board of Directors has decided to appoint Eng. Ahmed Al-Alola as Chief Executive Officer of Thiqah. We continue our progress with an ambitious vision and aim to lead the tech sector.”

"Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Alalola embarked on his journey with THIQAH in 2016, progressing through several leadership roles across Business Development and the Commercial Sector, culminating in his appointment as Deputy CEO for Business Solutions. In this role, he oversees the Technology, Digital Transformation, and Digital Ventures sectors. Alalola is recognised as one of the Kingdom’s distinguished national talents in innovation and technology, with a visionary approach to advancing digital ecosystems both within THIQAH and across Saudi Arabia. Throughout his career, he has led numerous strategic initiatives that strengthened THIQAH’s market position by delivering smart, innovative solutions aligned with market needs and national transformation goals. His expertise spans the full digital transformation journey, from strategic planning and execution to the continuous development and optimisation of digital platforms," the company highlighted.

Ahmed also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the Board of Directors for their trust in appointing me as CEO of Thiqah. It is a responsibility I take great pride in, one that I fully recognise comes with challenges and aspirations. I ask Allah for guidance and success as we continue our journey towards excellence and work to fulfill the company’s and the nation’s ambitions.”

He added, “Over the past years, I have been honoured to be part of this distinguished organisation, witnessing its growth and the impact it has made. Today, I am proud to continue this journey from my new position of responsibility, building on a rich legacy of teamwork and shared successes. I am confident that, with God’s will, we will continue to strengthen the company’s national presence and achieve its vision, in line with the aspirations of our wise leadership and Saudi Vision 2030.”

Ahmed brings over two decades of leadership experience to his new role. He joined Thiqah in 2016 as a Business Development Lead and has held key positions over the past decade, including serving as Deputy CEO in 2019. Prior to Thiqah, he served at Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co. as Head of e-Commerce, and held business development roles at AlJeraisy Group, Albilad Bank, the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, and the Arabic chapter of Khan Academy.
