Trojan Construction Holding appoints Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi as Group CEO

Al Shamsi brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across the oil and gas, infrastructure, construction, utilities and industrial sectors.
Trojan Construction Holding has appointed Ahmed Al Shamsi as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, marking a key leadership move as the UAE-based construction group advances its next phase of expansion and transformation.
The appointment signals a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing strategic evolution, with the group aiming to accelerate growth, diversify its portfolio and strengthen operational performance across regional and international markets.
Under Al Shamsi’s leadership, the group will focus on expanding its geographic footprint, reinforcing its core construction and infrastructure capabilities, and pursuing new growth opportunities. The strategy will also prioritise improving operational efficiency while continuing to support national development priorities through the delivery of complex, large-scale projects.
Al Shamsi brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across the oil and gas, infrastructure, construction, utilities and industrial sectors. Over the course of his career, he has led large organisations across regional and global markets, with experience spanning operational transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term value creation.
Hamad Al Ameri, Managing Director and Group CEO of Alpha Dhabi Holding and Chairman of Trojan Construction Holding, said the appointment reflects the group’s confidence in Al Shamsi’s leadership as the company enters a new stage of development.
“The appointment of Eng. Ahmed Al Shamsi as Group CEO reflects our confidence in his ability to lead Trojan Construction Holding through its next chapter of growth and strategic evolution,” he said. “Trojan is a cornerstone of Alpha Dhabi Holding’s construction and infrastructure vertical, and this leadership appointment reinforces our commitment to building scaled, future-ready national champions.”
“With Eng. Ahmed at the helm, we are well positioned to accelerate expansion, unlock new value streams, and continue delivering complex, world-class projects that support the UAE’s long-term development agenda,” Al Ameri added.
Al Shamsi said he was honoured to take on the role at a defining moment for the organisation. “It is an honour to be appointed Group CEO of Trojan Construction Holding at such a pivotal moment in its journey,” he said. “Trojan has built an exceptional legacy, underpinned by engineering excellence, delivery capability, and a strong national footprint.”
“My focus will be on strengthening the Group’s core competencies, expanding into high-growth markets, and embedding operational excellence across the business, while continuing to deliver sustainable value for our shareholders, partners, and the communities we serve.”
The leadership appointment comes as the group continues to strengthen its position as one of the largest construction companies in the GCC, working on major projects with partners including Modon Properties and Emaar Properties.
