Yamama Cement appoints Amer Alamer as Executive Vice President of Human Resources

Alamer brings around two decades of experience across human resources, project management, and human capital development to his new role.

Yamama Cement, a leading building materials manufacturer, has appointed Amer Alamer as Executive Vice President of Human Resources, strengthening its leadership team as the company sharpens its focus on organizational capability and people development.


Alamer shared the update on LinkedIn, saying, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Yamama Cement.”


In his new role, Alamer brings over 18 years of experience across human resources, project management, and human capital development. He will work closely with the company’s executive leadership, including Chief Executive Officer Jihad bin Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed and Executive Vice President of Finance Khaled bin Jafal, playing a key role in strengthening Yamama Cement’s people strategy, leadership development, and long-term human capital priorities.


Before joining Yamama Cement, Alamer spent more than 11 years at Hail Cement Company, where he served as Head of Human Resources. Earlier in his career, he worked with several prominent organizations, including Angus Company and Rakisa, contributing to the design and execution of HR strategies, organizational development frameworks, and workforce transformation initiatives.


During his time at Rakisa, Alamer supported the development of Hail Economic City, gaining exposure to both operational HR leadership and strategic development projects.


On the academic front, Alamer holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from De Montfort University - UK, along with several certifications in  investment management, operational leadership, HR and strategic management.
