Al Alamiya Liva CEO steps down

Kamran joined the company in 2023, bringing over two decades of leadership experience in the insurance sector.

Saudi Arabia’s leading insurance provider, Liva for Cooperative Insurance Company, widely known as Al Alamiya, has announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Kamran Mazhar, with immediate effect.

Kamran will serve the company in this role until March 21, 2025. He requested the company's board not to renew his contract, citing personal reasons. The company shared in an exchange filing on Tadawul: “Liva Insurance Co announces that the Board of Directors has approved via circulation dated 07/03/2025G the acceptance of the request from the Company’s CEO, Mr. Kamran Mazhar, for non-renewal of his contract, effective from 21/03/2025.”  

It also extended appreciation to the outgoing CEO: “...The Directors expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Kamran Mazhar for his outstanding performance and significant efforts during his tenure as Company CEO and wished him further progress and success in his career.”  

The appointment of a new CEO is yet to be made, as the company stated: “Any further developments related to the appointment of a new or acting CEO of the company will be announced in due course.”  

Kamran joined the company in 2023, bringing over two decades of leadership experience in the insurance sector. Over the past two years, he played a key role in bolstering growth potential and introducing innovative offerings in the Kingdom to give Al Alamiya a competitive edge.

Previously, he worked with Chubb in Saudi Arabia, holding key roles including CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Underwriter. Early in his career, he worked with Providian Financial.  

On the academic front, Kamran holds an MBA in Global Business Perspectives from HEC Paris and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
