Saudi Arabia allows highly skilled expats to bring families during work visa process

Family members’ entry visas can be issued alongside the completion of the worker’s employment visa process.
Saudi Arabia has introduced new measures allowing highly skilled foreign workers to bring eligible family members to the Kingdom while completing their employment visa procedures, in a move aimed at improving the quality of life for expatriate residents.
The Ministry of Interior announced the measures on 6 October, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Under the new rules, eligible highly skilled foreign workers can bring their spouses, sons under the age of 25 and unmarried daughters to Saudi Arabia.
Family members’ entry visas can be issued alongside the completion of the worker’s employment visa process, provided all required conditions and documentation are met.
Once in the Kingdom, family members can complete their residence permit procedures in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s applicable laws and regulations.
The measure is part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to make it easier for highly skilled international professionals and their families to establish themselves in Saudi Arabia.
