The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has launched the “HR 2.0 Talent Management” program to strengthen the capabilities of federal HR leaders and prepare them for evolving workforce challenges.

Developed in partnership with PwC, the initiative is aimed at equipping HR leaders with the tools to design integrated, future-focused strategies aligned with national priorities. The program also supports institutional transformation and enhances collaboration across federal entities, reinforcing the UAE’s ambition to build a flexible, innovation-driven government.

His Excellency Faisal bin Butti Al Muhairi said the initiative reflects FAHR’s commitment to advancing government human capital through modern, agile HR practices. He noted that the program enables leaders to leverage data and artificial intelligence to support decision-making and improve government performance.

The program explores the growing impact of emerging technologies on government jobs, including the evolution of roles, skills, and work models. It aims to prepare HR leaders to anticipate these changes and develop proactive workforce planning strategies that ensure long-term talent sustainability.

The first cohort includes 25 HR leaders from 25 federal entities, undergoing intensive training across areas such as strategic leadership, talent management, workforce planning, and organisational transformation. The curriculum combines theoretical insights with practical, real-world applications, including case studies and simulation-based learning.

FAHR said the initiative will roll out in multiple batches throughout the year, with plans to expand participation and continuously update content in line with global HR trends and technological advancements.
