Boston Consulting Group names Elliot Vaughn as CHRO & People Chair for EMEASA
Boston Consulting Group, a leading management consulting company, has promoted Elliot Vaughn to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, and People Chair for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America, with immediate effect.
Sharing the news with his LinkedIn community, Elliot posted, “I'm honoured to be taking on an executive leadership role as CHRO and people chair for Boston Consulting Group's business in EMESA. Here's to 2025 and a year of impact and progress!”
Elliot, who joined BCG in 2005 as a Consultant, brings nearly three decades of leadership experience across energy, financial services, media, retail, and industrial goods sectors. He most recently held the position of Managing Director & Senior Partner - UK, and has also served as the People Chair for BCG’s London, Amsterdam, Brussels network of offices. He took over as the People Chair for Europe, ME, Africa & South America in 2022. Previously, as a Consultant and Principal, Elliot focused his client work in health care and social impact.
In his new role, Elliot will be responsible for leading the group’s HR function and people initiatives across EMEASA region, overseeing HR management, labour relations policies, practices and operations – including inclusivity policy.

Being a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Elliot led Pride@BCG, the firm's global LGBTQ+ network, which has been active for over 20 years and includes more than 750 members across 80 offices globally. Outside BCG, he founded and chairs GiveOut, a charity supporting global LGBTQ+ advocacy, and serves on the board of OutRight Action International. In 2023, his efforts earned him an MBE. He was also awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE), in recognition of his efforts to promote inclusivity and equality for LGBT+ individuals in the workplace.
Before joining BCG, Elliot worked with Natural Capital Partners and WPP as a Consultant, and AS Biss & Co as a Senior Consultant. Academically, he holds an MBA degree from London Business School, a BA (Hons.) in English Literature from University of Cambridge, and an executive LGBT Leadership program from Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.
