Aster ProCare Hospital has appointed Nawwaf Awwad as its new Chief Executive Officer as the healthcare provider looks to strengthen operational excellence and enhance patient care services.
The appointment was announced by the regional headquarters of Aster DM Healthcare, which said the decision reflects management's confidence in Awwad's extensive professional experience and leadership capabilities.
"The Regional Headquarters of Aster DM Healthcare is pleased to announce the appointment of Nawaf Awad as Chief Executive Officer of Aster ProCare Hospital, effective 14 May 2026," the company said in a statement. It added that Awwad will play an important role in leading the hospital, ensuring business continuity, and further improving the quality of healthcare services delivered to patients and visitors.
Commenting on his new role, Awwad said he was excited to begin a new chapter with the organisation.
"This opportunity represents more than just a new role; it is a responsibility to lead with vision, build meaningful impact, and work alongside talented individuals who are passionate about excellence and growth," he wrote in a LinkedIn post.
He added that his priorities include strengthening the organisation, driving innovation, and creating long-term value while maintaining a commitment to integrity, collaboration, and high standards.
Awwad brings more than two decades of leadership experience across healthcare operations, information technology, and hospital management in Saudi Arabia. Before joining Aster ProCare Hospital, he served as Director of Operations at Dallah Health. He also held senior leadership positions at Al Ahsa Hospital and Al Salam Hospital, where he oversaw both operational and technology functions.
His previous experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at Saudi German Hospitals and Almoosa Specialist Hospital.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade leading IT operations at Saad Group and also held project management and operational roles at Saudi Aramco.
Awwad holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and pursued postgraduate studies in engineering at McGill University and University of Jordan.
