KPMG, a leading global consultancy, has announced the appointment of Nicolas Deflaux as the Head of Talent Acquisition in the Middle East, effective from January 2025.

In his new role, Nicolas brings over two decades of HR and leadership experience across IT, recruitment, consulting, manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors. He announced the new role on LinkedIn stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Talent Acquisition Middle East at KPMG!”

Prior to this appointment, Nicolas worked with PwC Middle East as the Director of Talent Acquisition for nearly three years, where he led the recruitment team and implemented effective talent acquisition strategies, ATS automation for HR process improvements, DEI initiatives, upskilling programs, and cost-saving measures to support organizational growth. In his earlier roles, he served as the Talent Acquisition Manager at EDGE—an Abu Dhabi-based aerospace company—for two years and as the Chief Executive Officer at ND & Associates for nearly 12 years. In between, he also founded a SaaS tech startup specialising in recruitment solutions.

Nicolas began his career with recruitment consultancies and later worked at du, a telecommunications company, and Dubai Customs, a government administration, for brief periods.
