
SAL Logistics names Thunyan Al Thunyan as the Deputy CEO
SAL Logistics, Saudi Arabia’s leading transportation, logistics, supply chain, and storage company, has announced the appointment of Thunyan Al Thunyan as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The company shared the news on LinkedIn, "We are glad to announce the appointment of Eng. Thunyan Al-Thunyan as Deputy CEO of SAL. Wishing him continuous success."
Thunyan also shared, "I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Deputy CEO at SAL Saudi Logistics Services!"
Thunyan joined SAL in 2021 as the Executive Director of Business Development & External Affairs. Over the past four years, he has held several key roles, including President – Logistics Solutions, Chief Logistics Solutions Officer, and Chief Business Development & Corporate Communication Officer, consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence and growth leadership.
He brings over 13 years of leadership experience to his new role, and will work closely with the executive leadership team, including the recently appointed CEO, Omar Hariri.
In addition to his responsibilities at SAL, Thunyan also serves as a Logistics Committee Member at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce & Industry and as a Member of the National Committee for Local Content at the Council of Saudi Chambers.
Previously, Thunyan held several prominent positions, including Deputy Secretary General of the Logistics Services Committee at the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, Director General of Quality and Institutional Excellence at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Logistics Consultant at the General Authority of Customs, and Logistics and Production Planning Engineer at SABIC.

On the academic front, Thunyan holds an MBA from Alfaisal University and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
