
Salalah Mills Co. appoints Ali Kashoob as Group CEO
Salalah Mills, a publicly listed company in the Sultanate of Oman, has appointed Ali Kashoob as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective August 20, 2025, as announced in an exchange filing on the Muscat Stock Exchange platform.
The company stated, “Salalah Mills Group hereby confirms that Eng. Ali Bakhit Hassan Kashoob has been appointed as CEO of the Group. The decision reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to industrial leadership and achieving sustainable growth in the food industries in the south of Oman.”
Kashoob succeeds Ahmed Alawi Abdullah Al Dhahab, who stepped down from the role in May 2025 after more than 25 years of service.
Sharing a brief on the new Group CEO, the company added, “Eng. Ali Bakhit Hassan Kashoob brings nearly 20 years of experience in strategic management, growth planning, change management, strategic marketing, and corporate communications. Prior to joining the Group, he served as CEO of Atyab Food Industries.”
“In his capacity as the CEO of Salalah Mills Group, Eng. Ali Bakhit Hassan Kashoob aspires to lead the group to a new phase of innovation, operative excellence, and strategic expansion. To further its role in supporting food security and industrial progress in Oman,” the company stated.
Kashoob also shared the news on LinkedIn platform, posting, “I’m proud to share that I have officially joined Salalah Mills Group as Group CEO — a pivotal new step in my leadership journey, with a group that stands tall in Oman’s food and industrial landscape.”
Adding, “My time with Atyab Food Industries has been a truly fulfilling experience. I am deeply thankful to the Board of Directors for their trust and unwavering support. To my amazing colleagues and team members at Atyab — thank you. Your hard work, commitment, and spirit of collaboration have made this journey unforgettable.
As I take on this new challenge this coming August , I look forward to leading Salalah Mills Group toward a new era of growth, innovation, and impact — together with a passionate team and ambitious vision.”

Before Aytab, Khashoob held key roles at Omantel and Ooredoo Oman, and has also served as a lecturer at the German University of Technology in Oman and Sultan Qaboos University. He is also a key member of the boards of the Oman Manufacturers Association and the Oman Fisheries Association.
On the academic front, he holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde (UK), a BSc in MIS from Sultan Qaboos University, and has also completed the National CEO Program at IMD Institute in Switzerland.
