Yasser Alswailem appointed as CEO of sirar by stc

Yasser brings over 16 years of leadership experience across key sectors of Saudi Arabia and most recently served stc Group as the VP of Cyber Security.

stc Group, a leading telecom company, has appointed Yasser Alswailem as the Chief Executive Officer at sirar by stc, with immediate effect. 

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Yasser posted, “I am thrilled to announce my new role as CEO of sirar by stc. It’s an incredible honor to lead such a dynamic team and drive innovation in our industry. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the previous CEO, Fahad Aljutaily, for his dedicated service and exceptional leadership. As we move forward, our commitment remains steadfast: to be the trusted enabler for our customers, safeguarding their interests and empowering them to thrive in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Together, we will create a future where innovation meets reliability!”

In his new role, Yasser brings over 16 years of leadership experience across key sectors of Saudi Arabia. Most recently, he served stc Group as the VP of Cyber Security (Group CISO), as a board member of sirar by stc, and as a board member of the Compliance and Risk Committee for stc Bank. Previously, he worked as the General Manager of Technology and Forensics Audit at Mobily, a Cyber Security Consultant at Elm Company, and a Security Solutions Consultant at Dell - Emerging Markets. He began his career with IT Security Training & Solutions in 2003. 

On the academic front, Yasser holds an executive MBA from Hult International Business School and a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from King Saud University. He also holds several certifications, including Artificial Intelligence from MIT Sloan Executive Education, Cybersecurity from Harvard Business School Executive Education, Mergers & Acquisitions from Stanford University Graduate Business School, Strategy & Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management, and other certifications in security.

Yasser succeeds Fahad Aljutaily, who moved on to serve stc Group as the Group Head of Special Projects. Fahad was appointed as CEO of sirar by stc in 2021, and prior to that, he held the position of Vice President for solutions by stc.  

Fahad also announced his new role, stating, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Group Head of Special Projects at stc.” He brings a wealth of leadership experience in IT consulting, network engineering, and advisory and holds exceptional academic credentials.
