Qatar maintained stable government performance due to long-term digital transformation and investment in digital infrastructure under the Smart Government and Digital Excellence model, Minister Al Mohannadi said.

Qatar’s Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, said government decisions during the current regional situation are being guided by a comprehensive institutional planning approach that prioritises community safety, family cohesion, and the continuity of government operations.

Speaking in an interview on Qatar Television, the minister outlined key government measures and operational priorities, highlighting the country’s ability to maintain stable public services and government performance during remote work periods.

He said government performance remained stable during remote work, supported by high levels of commitment and productivity across public sector entities. He stressed that decisions were not made in reaction to immediate developments, but were based on pre-established institutional frameworks for crisis and emergency management.

The minister also addressed the gradual return to workplaces, explaining that the decision to bring back 30% of employees to offices was taken only after confirming security stability. The move reflects a measured transition from managing exceptional circumstances towards a gradual return to normal operations.

Highlighting Qatar’s digital transformation progress, Al Mohannadi said investment in digital infrastructure began years earlier and has enabled government entities to operate efficiently under the Smart Government and Digital Excellence model. He noted that this digital ecosystem played a key role in ensuring the continuity of public services.

Education continuity was also a national priority, he said, due to its direct connection to student safety and family stability. Authorities ensured the readiness and safety of schools across the country to receive students.

Looking ahead, the minister said national priorities continue to be guided by Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy, with a focus on economic diversification, food security, and strengthening vital sectors such as health, education, energy, and transport.

He added that the government’s operating model is based on long-term institutional planning rather than short-term responses, with a focus on community safety, family cohesion, and uninterrupted government services.
