Memac Ogilvy elevates Maysoon Dababneh as Chief People Officer - MENA

In her new role, Maysoon brings over two decades of HR excellence to drive the people and culture agenda for Memac Ogilvy across the MENA region.

Memac Ogilvy, a Dubai-based advertising services firm, has promoted Maysoon Dababneh to the position of Chief People Officer for the MENA region, effective August 2024.

Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Maysoon posted, “I am excited to share that I am starting a new position as Chief People Officer, MENA, at Memac Ogilvy. In this role, I will drive Memac Ogilvy's People and Culture agenda across the MENA region, further embedding the agency's ‘Connected for Creativity’ culture and ensuring we continually attract, develop, and retain the best talent.”

Maysoon has been with the advertising firm since March 2022, initially serving as People Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She brings over two decades of HR leadership experience to her new role. Prior to joining Memac Ogilvy, she worked with VMLY&R as Director of Talent and with GTB as Head of Talent. In her earlier roles, she served as Talent Manager for the Gulf region at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide and as HR Manager in Jordan at Procter & Gamble. She has also worked with Agility, Ayla Aviation Academy, Umniah, and Aramex at the beginning of her career.

On the academic front, Maysoon holds a BA degree in Business Management from Jami'at Al-Yarmouk and a PHR Certificate in Human Resources from Morgan (SHRM - Society for Human Resource Management). Her core competencies include leadership, strategic management, workforce planning and employment, HR development and transformation, total rewards, team building, employee benefits, performance management, succession planning, employee relations and risk management, and training and development.
