Saudi Arabia to support working women in the private sector with up to 50% childcare coverage

As the country pushes to create more job opportunities for Saudi women in the private sector, initiatives like childcare support will make it easier for working mothers to join and stay in the workforce, driving the economy forward.
Saudi Arabia is expanding its efforts to empower women in the private sector with a new childcare support initiative that covers up to 50% of childcare expenses, helping working mothers balance career and family responsibilities.

The initiative, launched under the Child Hospitality Support Program (Qurrah) by the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), provides monthly coverage of up to SAR 1,600 per child under the age of six. The program ensures that working mothers have access to safe and reliable childcare services during their working hours.
“Support to enable women working in Saudi Arabia to enter and continue in the labour market. It is assured of the care provided to their children. The program guarantees coverage of up to 50% of the value of booking a hospitality center up to SAR 1,600 for each child working in the private sector under the age of 6,” Hadaf shared.

To qualify for the support, the beneficiary must be a Saudi national, employed with a monthly wage not exceeding SAR 8,000, and must be registered in the social assurance system.
There is no cap on the number of children eligible for the program, allowing families with multiple young children to benefit equally.
