Ahmad Al-Hammad joins KFH as Acting Group Chief HR and Transformation Officer

Kuwait Finance House, Kuwait’s first Islamic bank, has announced the appointment of Ahmad Al-Hammad as the Acting Group Chief Human Resources and Transformation Officer.

The company announced Ahmad’s appointment, stating, “Mr. Ahmad Hamad Al-Hammad has been appointed as Group General Manager HR and Transformation Officer, effective Monday, 6 January 2025, and has been assigned the duties and responsibilities of the Group Chief HR and Transformation Officer.”  

Ahmad also shared the news on LinkedIn: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Group Chief HR and Transformation Officer (Acting) at Kuwait Finance House!”  

Ahmad succeeds Zeyad AlOmar, who stepped down from the role of Group Chief HR Officer after nearly five years of service as he opted for retirement.  

Before joining KFH, Ahmad served stc Kuwait as the Chief Human Resources Officer for nearly six years. He stepped down from the role in August 2024, and Abdulaziz Al-Mathkoor took over as the new CHRO in December 2024.  

In his new role, Ahmad brings over 17 years of HR leadership experience in the banking sector. This is his second stint with KFH, as he previously served the bank for six years until 2019. He held key positions, including Senior Manager of Group Performance and Rewards Management and Manager of Rewards Management. At the start of his career, he worked with the National Bank of Kuwait for around five years.

On the academic front, Ahmad holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from California State University, has completed a strategy execution program in financial services at Harvard Business School Executive Education, and holds key certifications in Annual Planning & Budgeting, IT Performance Management, Project Management, and Leadership Strategy.
