St. James’s Place (SJP), a global financial advisory firm, has appointed Richard Garfield as Head of Talent Acquisition for the Middle East, effective immediately.
In his new role, Garfield brings over 18 years of HR and talent acquisition experience across global markets. He most recently served as Head of Executive Hiring and Resourcing at RAKBANK, where he was responsible for recruiting senior talent in the market.
Prior to this, he worked with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) as Vice President of Talent Acquisition Management for the Corporate and Investment Banking Group; Insignia Group of Technology as Head of Talent Acquisition; Adecco Middle East and CooperFitch as Head of Recruitment for Banking, Finance, and Fintech; and Bentley Cohen and Acquisition Executive Search as Managing Director of Executive Search & Recruitment Solutions.
“The appointment reflects SJP’s continued ambitions for growth in the region and its commitment to building a community of advisers who deliver trusted, relationship-based financial solutions,” the company said in an official statement.
It added, “Richard will oversee the end-to-end hiring strategy, strengthen talent pipelines, and enhance the candidate experience, working closely with business leaders to align recruitment with the firm’s ambitious growth plans. His focus will be on attracting high-calibre professionals who share SJP’s philosophy of integrity, trust, and long-term client relationships, further strengthening the firm’s reputation for delivering client-centric financial advisory services in the Middle East.”
