Aluminium Bahrain, widely known as Alba, has appointed Ahmed Mazen Matar as the new Manager, Training, effective immediately.
The company shared, “Aluminium Bahrain, the world’s largest aluminium smelter on one site, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ahmed Mazen Matar, a Bahraini national, as its new Manager, Training, effective 30 October 2025.”
It added, “In this pivotal role, Ahmed Matar will oversee the design and implementation of training programmes across Alba’s operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and the company’s long-term vision.”
Matar brings over a decade of experience in corporate and executive leadership training and development. He most recently served EMIC Training as General Manager, where he led the design and delivery of innovative learning programs that built capability and fostered a culture of continuous development. He is known for driving impactful results and positioning organizations for success by equipping their teams with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s evolving industries.

On the academic front, Matar holds a BA in Management and Marketing from Ahlia University, Bahrain, and holds several international certificates from the University of Houston and Cardiff University.
