Expo 2030 Riyadh appoints Hisham AlSheikh as Chief Shared Services Officer
AlSheikh will oversee critical operational functions, including human resources, procurement, information technology, and digital transformation.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF)-backed Expo 2030 Riyadh Company has appointed Hisham AlSheikh as Chief Shared Services Officer, effective immediately.
Announcing the appointment, the company stated, “The Expo 2030 Riyadh Company proudly announces the appointment of Hisham AlSheikh as the Chief Shared Services Officer.”
In his new role, AlSheikh brings over two decades of leadership experience across the public sector and international ICT organizations. He will oversee critical operational functions, including human resources, procurement, information technology, and digital transformation.
“His leadership will guarantee the seamless delivery of support services across the organization while shaping the digital landscape for Expo 2030 Riyadh,” the company added.
AlSheikh most recently served as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) at the Digital Government Authority for more than six years. He has also held leadership roles at the Saudi General Authority of Foreign Trade, Saudi Health Council, National Technology Group, Avaya, Riverbed Technology, Juniper Networks, and Sun Microsystems.
The company further noted, “His proven expertise in organizational development, performance management, strategic planning, and rapid market entry will drive our success. Under AlSheikh’s direction, we will achieve operational excellence, effectiveness, and efficiency as we unite to deliver an outstanding Expo in Riyadh.”

Academically, AlSheikh holds a BSc in computer science from AUST and an MBA from the University of Liverpool. He also holds key certifications in digital regulations, AI impact, cybersecurity leadership, strategic leadership, financial analysis, and more from leading academic institutions.
AlSheikh now joins the C-level executive team of Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, which includes CEO Talal Al-Marri who joined in June 2025.
