Genetco Oman appoints Issa Al Aufi as Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer

Al Aufi brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across Oman's leading sectors including oil & gas, real estate, food & beverage, aviation, and facilities management.
Oman’s General Electric & Trading Company (Genetco) has appointed Issa Al Aufi as Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer, effective immediately.
Al Aufi shared the news on LinkedIn, posting, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer at General Electric & Trading CO. L.L.C (GENETCO)!”
In his new role, Al Aufi brings over two decades of HR leadership experience across the oil & gas, real estate, food & beverage, aviation, and facilities management sectors. He will be responsible for shaping the company’s people strategy, overseeing HR and administrative operations, and driving corporate affairs and external engagement initiatives.
Prior to this appointment, Al Aufi served at Renaissance Services as Chief People Officer and at Ahli Bank as Senior HR Leader. Previously, he has worked with Oman Refreshment Company as Chief Human Capital Officer & Head of HR, SBJ as Head of HR & Admin, and Oman Airports Management Company as Head of Employee Relations.

Al Aufi began his career with Oman’s leading oil & gas company, Oxy, in 2006 and held key roles across the HR function.
On the academic front, he holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA from Sultan Qaboos University.
He has also completed Level 7 of the Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), along with key certifications in leadership, HR, and people management.
