Ahmed, who joined MDI in 2021, brings nearly 15 years of HR experience to his new role.

Misr Digital Innovation, Egypt’s leading digital bank, has promoted Ahmed Massoud to the role of Chief People Officer.

Ahmed’s promotion became effective in November 2024, but he announced it on LinkedIn this week, stating: “I’m happy to share that I started a new position as Chief People Officer at Misr Digital Innovation (MDI)!”

Ahmed brings nearly 15 years of HR experience to his new role. He joined MDI in 2021 as Head of HR OD, Talent, HR Strategy, and Organisational Excellence, overseeing strategic initiatives and all components of HR and organisational success. Over the past four years, he has played a pivotal role in fostering the One Bank digital organisational culture, embedding it into the company’s core DNA.

Before joining MDI, Ahmed worked with Orange Business Services as Head of HR for the Middle East and Turkey. Previously, he held key roles at Vodafone Qatar, including Talent Capacity Senior Manager, Senior L&D Consultant, and Lead Trainer.

Ahmed is a certified L&D professional from CIPD and a certified payroll professional from Myers-Briggs Training Institute. With strong expertise in leadership development, employee engagement, training and development, people management, HR transformation, organisational development, and culture change, Ahmed is poised to lead MDI’s workplace values by energising, engaging, and inspiring teams while upholding the highest standards of work ethic, honesty, and morality. He aims to foster a culture of diversity, continuous learning, collaboration, and high ethical standards in alignment with the company’s business goals.
