Warba Bank appoints Soud Al-Rashed as Chief Compliance Officer

Warba Bank, a leading financial institution in Saudi Arabia, has appointed Soud Al-Rashed as its new Chief Compliance Officer, effective immediately. 

Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Al-Rashed wrote, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Compliance Officer at Warba Bank!” 
Al-Rashed has been with the bank for more than five years, taking on several key roles during his tenure. He brings over 15 years of compliance leadership experience across the finance sector. Before joining Warba Bank, he served at the Central Bank of Kuwait as Head of Inspection and at Kuwait Finance House as Senior Compliance Officer. 
Giving a glimpse into his new responsibilities, Al-Rashed explained, “I lead the organization’s entire Compliance Function, ensuring strict adherence to all applicable laws and banking regulations. This includes designing and implementing frameworks for Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism, Corporate Governance, Tax Compliance, Data Protection, and Regulatory Disclosures.” 
He added, “I am responsible for mitigating regulatory risk and upholding the highest standards of integrity across all operations. By fostering a proactive compliance culture, I serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on regulatory requirements and ethical conduct. My focus is on transforming regulatory complexity into strong, sustainable, and transparent business practices that safeguard the bank’s reputation and continuity.” 
On the academic front, Al-Rashed holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from Kuwait University and has completed several key certifications in credit management, banking risk and regulation, auditing, financial services, and risk management from leading institutions.
