Maan Fatani steps down as MEPCO’s Group CHRO & VP of HR & Shared Services

Fatani has been serving MEPCO as CHRO and VP of the HR & Shared Services division for more than five years, building a people-centered workplace and leading HR transformation.

Maan Fatani, who has been serving Middle East Paper Company (MEPCO) as Group Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President of HR & Shared Services, has announced his exit from the company after over five years of service. 

Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Fatani wrote, “Today, I close a defining chapter in my career; leading HR at MEPCO has been a journey of growth, learning, and purpose.” 

He added, “Over the last six years, I’ve had the privilege of working with inspiring board members, visionary executive peers, and exceptional MEPCO employees who believed in me, supported every initiative, and shared the passion for building a people-centered organization. Your trust, collaboration, and commitment have truly shaped this journey and made every achievement meaningful.”

It’s been an honour to contribute to this shared story of transformation and success. As I move forward, I’m excited to start a new chapter – to explore new horizons, discover new potential, and step into an upgraded version of myself, ready for the next level of impact and growth.”

As CHRO and VP of HR & Shared Services, Fatani has been instrumental in shaping the group’s HR and people strategy, driving innovation and transformation across the organization.

A well-known thought leader, Fatani believes in putting people first in the race of transformation by ensuring governance, continuous learning, and adaptability. He often encourages organizations to “rethink their operational models, leadership styles, and how they cultivate corporate culture in an increasingly digital workplace.” 

With over two decades of HR and strategic leadership experience, Fatani has previously served in key roles at Castrol KSA, AlSafwa Cement, and Tamer Group. 

On the academic front, he holds certifications in HR, executive leadership, and board governance, along with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
