Qatar ends remote work, offices to reopen across government sector

The decision follows earlier precautionary measures, including remote work arrangements for 70% of the workforce across all sectors, implemented to ensure outdoor safety during the geopolitical crisis.
The Council of Ministers Secretariat General has announced that government employees in Qatar will resume work from offices starting Tuesday, March 24, 2026, with normal operations returning across ministries, government entities, and public institutions.
The decision follows earlier precautionary measures, including remote work arrangements for 70% of the workforce across all sectors, implemented to ensure outdoor safety during the geopolitical crisis.

Authorities confirmed that the return to offices will take place in accordance with applicable regulations and approved safety procedures.
In a related press release, the Ministry of Interior Qatar emphasized the importance of continuing to follow preventive measures and safety guidelines across all entities even after returning to workplaces.
"In light of the statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers regarding the return to work, and with reference to the press release previously issued by the Ministry of Interior on 8 March 2026, the Ministry emphasises the importance of continuing to adhere to approved preventive measures and safety instructions across all entities."
