AlSagr Cooperative Insurance Company has appointed Dalal Abdullah Al-Burhan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The company announced, “Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Company announces the decision of its Board of Directors dated 02/04/1447H (corresponding to 24/09/2025G), approving the appointment of Dalal Abdullah Ibrahim Burhan as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. The appointment became effective upon obtaining the no-objection from the Insurance Authority, which was received on 01/05/1447H (corresponding to 23/10/2025G),”.
It further shared, “We proudly celebrate the appointment of Dalal Burhan as the first Saudi woman to hold the position of CEO of insurance companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Inspiring leadership for a more empowered and distinguished future.”
Burhan was named as the Acting CEO of the company for an interim period in May this year, following the exit of Dr. Yasser Al Harbi.
Burhan holds over 16 years of industry leadership experience. She previously served the company as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the company’s tech operations and integration of advanced technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

“Dalal has actively participated in several specialized committees, including membership in committees affiliated with the Insurance Authority and the Financial Committee of the Chamber of Commerce in Eastern Province, reflecting her contribution to the insurance sector, the company added.
On the academic front, Burhan holds a Fellowship Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute in London and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University. She also holds key specialised professional certificates in insurance and risk management.
