Simon Young

Simon Young is BTEC Portfolio Director for Pearson Education. Based in Singapore for the past ten years, Simon has been working across Asia to build vocational qualification frameworks that develop the knowledge, skills and technical abilities that employers need in their workforce for today’s changing world. Simon believes that technical vocational education can make a significant contribution to economic and social development, in particular, up-skilling existing employees to keep pace with technological change. His most recent projects include collaboration with the Thai Ministry of Education and the Office of Vocational Education Commission to introduce international curriculum into vocational colleges in Thailand.
