Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank has appointed Hanaa Alsomali as Head of Human Resources, effective immediately.

Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Alsomali posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank!”

In her new role, Alsomali brings over 13 years of HR leadership experience across the banking sector. Most recently, she served as an HR Business Partner at First Abu Dhabi Bank in Saudi Arabia until stepping down earlier this year.

Upon her departure from FAB, she shared, “Today marks my last day at First Abu Dhabi Bank - KSA. After an incredible journey filled with growth, challenges, and invaluable experiences, it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter in my professional career. I’m truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to work alongside such talented and inspiring colleagues. Your support, collaboration, and encouragement have made this experience unforgettable.”

This was her second stint with FAB, having previously served as a Senior Officer HRBP from 2019 to 2020. In addition, she has worked with Credit Suisse as an HR Advisor, with Ascott Rafal Olaya Riyadh as an HR Executive, and with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as an Acting HR Manager.

On the academic front, Alsomali holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in HR Management from King AbdulAziz University, along with other key certifications.
