Yaqeen Capital appoints Ahmed AlShabanah as CEO & Managing Director

Yaqeen Capital, previously known as FALCOM Financial Services, has appointed Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Shabanah as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective October 2024.
In his new role, Ahmed brings nearly three decades of leadership experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. He has been with the investment banking firm since 2007, holding key positions over the last 17 years. Previously, he held pivotal roles at Gulf International Bank and Alawwal Bank. He has also served on several committees and boards, including the Samama Group of Companies and the Capital Market Institutions Committee.
On the academic front, Ahmed holds an MBA from the Swiss Business School and a BBA from King Faisal University. He shared the news of his appointment on LinkedIn, posting, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director at Yaqeen Capital!”

Ahmed succeeds Moath Qasem Al-Khasawneh, who stepped down from the role in August 2024 after 15 years of service. The company expressed its gratitude to Moath in an official statement, saying, “The Board of Directors extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Mr. Moath Qasem Al-Khasawneh for his effective role and fruitful efforts during more than 15 years of service at Yaqeen Capital, beginning in 2008. He held the position of CEO for 8 years, starting in 2016. The Board of Directors wishes Mr. Moath Qasem Al-Khasawneh continued success in his professional career.”
