AlSaif Gallery, a leading retailer in Saudi Arabia, has appointed Saad Al-Otaibi as the HR Director for Saudi Arabia & the GCC region, with immediate effect.
Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Saad posted: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as HR Director | Saudi Arabia & GCC at AlSaif Gallery.”
In his new role, Saad brings over 13 years of HR experience in the retail sector, encompassing organisational development, employee engagement and experience, performance management, compensation & benefits management, and talent management.
Prior to this appointment, he served Thob Al-Aseel Company as the HR Director for over six years. Stepping down from the role, he posted: “After six and a half years filled with challenges and achievements at AlAseel and its subsidiaries, the time has come to close this remarkable chapter of my professional journey. I look ahead with gratitude and pride for everything accomplished during this period.”
He reflected on some of the pivotal moments during his years of service, adding: “I had the honor of contributing to the comprehensive restructuring of AlAseel and its subsidiaries, contributing to its transformation from a family-owned business into a publicly listed company, fully compliant with the Capital Market Authority's regulations. Alongside the team, I worked on developing HR strategies that enhanced the workplace environment, increased Saudization from 25% to 44%, and reduced employee turnover from 20% to 7% — achievements made possible through teamwork and collaboration.”
He also extended wishes to the company’s leadership, members of the HR & Support Services team, and employees, saying, “Success is never an individual effort; it is the result of teamwork, shared vision, and collective passion. I will always cherish the experiences and relationships built during my time at AlAseel.”
In other roles, Saad also served Aseelah Trade, Cenomi Retail, and NESK Group of Trading Projects. Currently, he also serves as a key member of Arabian Oud Company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
