Al Seer Marine, an Abu Dhabi-based maritime company, has announced the appointment of Gunther Alvarado as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, effective June 2024.

In his new role, Gunther brings 20 years of maritime industry experience and has been with the company since 2013. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Yacht Management & Marine Operations. “Gunther's leadership has been pivotal to Al Seer Marine's success. He expanded the commercial fleet, established the company as a regional maritime leader, and guided it to manage the largest superyacht fleet in the Middle East. His strategic vision and expertise also drove the expansion of naval capabilities and partnerships with global players, significantly impacting Al Seer Marine and the UAE's maritime landscape,” the company noted while announcing his appointment.

Before joining ASM, Gunther worked with Superyachts as the Chief Engineer & Project Manager. He holds certifications and licences from Maritime Professional Training (MPT), USA, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan-Flint.
