Citadel Securities appoints Sarah Bauer as the EMEA Head of People

Citadel Securities, a leading capital markets company, has appointed Sarah Bauer as the new Head of People for the Europe, Middle East & Africa region, effective immediately.
Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Sarah posted, “I'm thrilled to share that I've recently started a new position as Head of People for EMEA at Citadel Securities. Looking forward to seeing what this new and exciting chapter will bring!”
In her new role, Sarah brings approximately 12 years of global HR expertise across the financial markets. She will oversee the entire people strategy and initiatives for the region’s teams.
Before her appointment, she spent over 10 years at JP Morgan Chase & Company, where she was most recently promoted to the position of Executive Director after serving as Head of Talent for Global Markets & Securities Services since August 2023. During her tenure at JP Morgan Chase, she also held the role of HR Advisor for Corporate and Investment Banking, playing a pivotal role in managing end-to-end people agendas, including headcount planning, talent management, organisational development, employee relations, and compensation planning. Additionally, she led the Brexit People Strategy & Implementation and oversaw Campus Recruitment for the EMEA Corporate and Investment Bank.

On the academic front, Sarah holds a BSc degree in Finance from Miami University. Her core expertise includes research, talent attraction and retention, strategic HR, fostering a positive work culture, talent development, compensation planning and strategy implementation, HR transformation, and employee engagement and lifecycle management.
