
Saudi Chemical Company’s newly appointed CEO resigns; Successor named
Abdullah Abdulaziz Alznaedi, who was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Chemical Company earlier this year, has resigned from the position with immediate effect.
Alznaedi was named the successor to then Group CEO Thamer AlMuhid, who stepped down after over five years of service to the company. Later, in February 2025, AlMuhid joined Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) as the new CEO, taking over from interim CEO Omar AlMadhi.
Without disclosing the reason for Alznaedi’s resignation, the company shared: “Saudi Chemical Company Holding announces the decision of its Board of Directors, dated 01/07/2025 corresponding to 06/01/1447, has accepted the resignation of its acting CEO Eng. Abdullah Abdulaziz Alznaedi and the appointment of a new CEO for the company, Eng. Abdulsalam Musfer Al Ghamdi.”
Joining as the new CEO, Al Ghamdi brings more than two decades of industry leadership experience. Most recently, he served at SAMI as the Executive Vice President for nearly three years. Previously, he worked with Intra Defense Technologies as CEO and with Advanced Electronics Company as the VP of Sales and Business Development for the Defense & Aerospace sector.

Sharing a brief about him, the company stated: “Eng. Abdulsalam Al Ghamdi holds a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Hull, United Kingdom, and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from King Saud University.
He was responsible for leading a wide range of business activities and national initiatives across various sectors. Eng. Abdulsalam is currently a Board Member of the National Military Industry.”
