
Thiqah Company appoints Ahmed Al-Alola as CEO
Thiqah, a leading IT company based in Riyadh, has announced the promotion of Ahmed Al-Alola to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
The company stated, “The Board of Directors has decided to appoint Eng. Ahmed Al-Alola as Chief Executive Officer of Thiqah. We continue our progress with an ambitious vision and aim to lead the tech sector.”
"Eng. Ahmed Abdullah Alalola embarked on his journey with THIQAH in 2016, progressing through several leadership roles across Business Development and the Commercial Sector, culminating in his appointment as Deputy CEO for Business Solutions. In this role, he oversees the Technology, Digital Transformation, and Digital Ventures sectors. Alalola is recognised as one of the Kingdom’s distinguished national talents in innovation and technology, with a visionary approach to advancing digital ecosystems both within THIQAH and across Saudi Arabia. Throughout his career, he has led numerous strategic initiatives that strengthened THIQAH’s market position by delivering smart, innovative solutions aligned with market needs and national transformation goals. His expertise spans the full digital transformation journey, from strategic planning and execution to the continuous development and optimisation of digital platforms," the company highlighted.
Ahmed also expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the Board of Directors for their trust in appointing me as CEO of Thiqah. It is a responsibility I take great pride in, one that I fully recognise comes with challenges and aspirations. Ahmed brings over two decades of leadership experience to his new role. He joined Thiqah in 2016 as a Business Development Lead and has held key positions over the past decade, including serving as Deputy CEO in 2019. Prior to Thiqah, he served at Alfalak Electronic Equipment & Supplies Co. as Head of e-Commerce, and held business development roles at AlJeraisy Group, Albilad Bank, the Center of Excellence in Information Assurance, and the Arabic chapter of Khan Academy.

On the academic front, Ahmed holds an Executive MBA from IE Business School and a BSc degree in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. He has also completed key certifications in Venture Finance from VC University, Private Equity and Venture Capital from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA), and Business Incubation and Acceleration from The World Bank.
