Waja appoints Eng Ammar Salem Al-Nahdi as CEO
Waja, a Riyadh-based international trade and development company, has announced the appointment of Engineer Ammar Salem Al-Nahdi as Chief Executive Officer, with immediate effect.
In his new role, Ammar brings a wealth of experience and academic excellence. He most recently served as a Technical Consultant at Engineering Domain Company, overseeing reverse engineering and leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver innovative solutions in product design and manufacturing. He is also collaborating with King Saud University's Reverse Engineering Centre as a Researcher. Earlier in his career, he worked with Manna Glass Company, Faheem, and MATCO.
On the academic front, Ammar is pursuing a PhD in mechanical engineering and holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from King Saud University. He also holds certifications as a Radiation Safety Officer from the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission of Saudi Arabia (NRCC), in the McKinsey Forward Programme from McKinsey & Company, and in academic leadership from King Saud University.
“Engineer Ammar has previously worked in the private sector with several companies, gaining extensive experience in project management, mechanical engineering, and business development, making him a leader in managing projects and implementing advanced engineering solutions,” stated the company when announcing his appointment.

Waja is active in a variety of sectors, from advertising and communication to IT, interior design, and construction. Recently, the company announced that it issued sukuk valued at SAR 70 million (around US $18.7 million) as part of its Saudi riyal-denominated sukuk programme.
