Tihama names Udoy Chatterjee as Acting CEO
Tihama Group has announced the appointment of Udoy Sankar Chatterjee as the new Chief Executive Officer, following the dismissal of CEO Abdulaziz Najib Al-Suwailem.
The advertising, PR, and marketing company informed the Saudi Exchange: “...the decision of its Board of Directors No. (67) dated 04/05/1446, corresponding to 06/11/2024, whereby the Board decided to appoint Financial Director Mr. Udoy Sankar Chatterjee as acting CEO of the company. This decision shall be effective from its date. Mr. Udoy brings extensive experience, with 30 years of work in leading listed and non-listed large corporations in India, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. He possesses valuable expertise in finance and enterprise support functions. He currently holds the position of the company's CFO.”
Udoy, who joined the company in 2023 as Executive Vice President of Finance, HR, Administration, and IT, assumes his new responsibilities immediately. Before joining Tihama Group, he worked as CEO at The Eye Consultants, Chief Financial Officer at MEFIC Capital, and Finance Accounting Manager at Kuwait & Middle East Financial Investment Co. He has also served with Al Sayer Group and Al Mulla Group in Kuwait, as well as with Asahi India Glass Ltd. and Technical Diving Services earlier in his career. Udoy is a Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst (ICMA - USA), and Cost Accountant (ICAI - India).

The company announced Al-Suwailem’s dismissal on November 5, 2024, and also initiated internal investigations against him. The board authorised the Chairman to initiate legal proceedings for any violations committed during his tenure.
