Zain KSA names Saad Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan as acting CEO
Mobile Telecommunications Company, better known as Zain KSA, has announced the appointment of Engineer Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan as the Acting Chief Executive Officer, with effect from August 13, 2024.
This appointment follows the unfortunate passing of the former CEO, Sultan AlDeghaither, on August 6, 2024. In a disclosure to Tadawul, the company stated, “In continuation of the company’s announcement on the Tadawul website on 06/08/2024 AD, corresponding to 02/02/1446 AH, regarding the death of the company’s CEO, Eng. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Dughaither (May Allah have mercy on his soul), the Board of Directors has decided, based on the recommendation of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee, to appoint Eng. Saad Bin Abdulrahman Al-Sadhan as the Acting CEO of Mobile Telecommunications Company (Zain KSA), effective 13/08/2024 AD, corresponding to 09/02/1446 AH.”
In his new role, Al-Sadhan brings over two decades of industry leadership experience. He joined the company in 2016 and has held key roles, including most recently serving as Chief Business and Wholesale Officer. Prior to joining Zain KSA, he spent over 11 years at Mobily, including as Director of International Wholesale. He began his career as a Communication Engineer with Ericsson.

On the academic front, Al-Sadhan holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, a Diploma in General Management, and a certificate in Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption from INSEAD.
