Leadership rejigs at GACO; Mohammed Abdulrahman Alsawaji named as CEO

Al Gassim Investment Holding Company has announced the appointment of Eng. Mohammed Abdulrahman Alsawaji as the Chief Executive Officer, with immediate effect.
In his elevated role, Alsawaji brings a wealth of leadership, business development, restructuring, and strategic execution experience. He has been serving the company in the capacity of Executive VP for support operations since 2020, and as Acting CEO since 2022. His term as Acting CEO was recently extended for one year. The company, in an exchange filing on Tadawul (Saudi Exchange), stated, “...the Board of Directors' decision to terminate the assignment of Eng. Mohammed Abdulrahman Alsawaji as Acting CEO and appoint him as CEO of the company.”
On the academic front, Alsawaji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Mustaqbal University. His core competencies include software engineering, requirements analysis, cost and budget management, project management, project planning, team management, project monitoring, execution, and effective communication.
The company board has also announced the appointment of Ahmed Almuzaini as Chairman for a two-year term, succeeding Abdulrhman Al Hudheif who has stepped down from the position. The company stated, “...the board of directors decided on July 20 to appoint Ahmed Almuzaini as Chairman until the end of the current session on Feb. 21, 2026, to replace Abdulrhman Al Hudheif, who retains his board membership as an independent member.”

Almuzaini brings over two decades of leadership experience in investment and financial management, having held key positions at Rseem Investment, Mulkia Investment, consulting boutique Quality and Time, and others.
In addition to these key appointments, the board has also announced the restructuring of the remuneration and nomination committee, with Waleed Algosaibi as Chairman, and Abdulrhman Al Hudheif and Bader Alkadi as members, until the end of the current session on Feb. 21, 2026. The board also appointed Faisal Alkhamis, Rasheed Alrasheed, and Bader Alkadi as members of the investment committee.
