ALDAR Group appoints Mohamed Al Zarooni as Senior VP of HR Talent Operations

ALDAR Group, a leading real estate firm based in Abu Dhabi, has appointed Mohamed Al Zarooni as the new Senior Vice President of HR Talent Operations, effective from June 2024.
In his new role, Al Zarooni brings over 17 years of HR leadership experience across BFSI, aviation, sports, healthcare, and hospitality sectors. He most recently served as the Country HR Officer for Citi, a leading financial services firm, from 2022. Prior to that, he worked with leading organisations across the UAE, including Dubai Airports as the Head of HR Business Partner, Standard Chartered Bank as the HR Business Partner for Finance & IT Operations, Etihad Airways as the HR Business Partner for Flight Ops, and Cleveland Clinic as the Talent Acquisition Specialist. At the beginning of his career, he worked with DP World, Brewsters Trails Restaurant, Dubai Refreshment PJSC, and volunteered at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.
On the academic front, Al Zarooni holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology with Human Resources from Middlesex University. His core competencies include performance management and assessments, training needs analysis, national recruitment, recruitment, training evaluations, employee surveys, inductions, Emiratization development programmes, employee relations, employee communications, job evaluations, business development, talent management, and training and development.

Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Al Zarooni posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Senior Vice President - HR Talent Operations at ALDAR!” Many HR leaders extended their wishes to him, including Andrea Jurick-Nisar, the Group Head of Talent at Aldar Education, who commented, “That’s amazing!
