
Takaful Oman Insurance elevates Ismail Al Ismaili to CHRO role

Takaful Oman Insurance has promoted Ismail Al Ismaili to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer, effective immediately.
Announcing the news on LinkedIn, Ismail posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Takaful Oman Insurance S.A.O.G!” He will continue to oversee HR and people functions, guiding them toward effective people management, strategic HR, engagement, and talent retention. Additionally, he will serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, aligning the organisational and people agenda with sustainable success.
Ismail joined the insurance company in 2021 as Assistant General Manager and Head of HR. He then transitioned into key roles, taking over the HR, Administration, and Procurement departments.
With more than 10 years of HR experience, he has worked with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) as Assistant Vice President of HR Business Partnering, AXA Gulf as Senior HR Manager, and National Life and General Insurance SAOC as HR Supervisor.
Early in his career, Ismail held roles at Ooredoo Oman and Nottinghamshire County Council. He is also a key member of the Oman American Business Council, where he supports HR leaders and professionals across the region. He brings strong expertise in leadership development, innovation management, strategic HR, performance management, and HR transformation.
Academically, Ismail holds a BSc in Management from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in HR Management from Nottingham Trent University. He is also a qualified Associate Member (Level 7) of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) under Nottingham Business School. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Ruwad Alizz Leadership Development and Organisational Leadership from Harvard University.

Under Ismail’s guidance, Takaful Oman was once again recognized as a Great Place to Work in Oman this year.
