TAQA Generation appoints Sarah Al Bakeri as HR Director

TAQA Generation, UAE’s leading power generation company, has appointed Sarah Al Bakeri as Human Resources Director, effective in early September 2024.
Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Sarah posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Human Resources Director at TAQA Generation!”
In her new role, Sarah brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience across various sectors in the United Arab Emirates. Most recently, she served at National Central Cooling Company in key roles, including Vice President of Human Capital and Senior Manager of Learning and Emiratisation, where she led the HR function through transformation by introducing new skills and knowledge to support business goals. In addition, she works as a Certified Professional Coactive Coach at the Coaches Training Institute and previously worked with the Advanced Military Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Center as Assistant Manager of Talent Development. She also served on the boards of Raha International School until 2017, Tabreed Operation & Maintenance Zones Cooling Stations Company until April 2024, and Bahrain District Cooling Company until April 2024. Sarah began her career as an IT officer at ADNOC Distribution.

On the academic front, Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Communications from Zayed University. She also completed an Executive Master in Change program at INSEAD, along with several certifications in Leadership Coaching, Organisational and Relationship Systems, and HRM. Her core competencies include team management, employee relations, training and development, leadership development, emiratisation and nationalisation, public speaking, performance management, recruitment, and coaching.
